Thai Boat
Any dish can be made with tofu, and the kitchen will leave out fish sauce, oyster sauce and egg if you ask (HappyCow and Tripadvisor reviewers confirm it).
Good veg picks: crispy tofu appetizer, tofu larb, garlic noodles with tofu, pumpkin curry (a reviewer favorite), and any curry or noodle dish with tofu.
Say "vegetarian, no fish sauce" when ordering. One review mentions a small charge for swapping out the meat.
Saturday is 12-3 only. Arriving by 2:15 is safe.
Shake Shake Fresh Noodle
From their live online menu today: Garlic Cucumber, Chili Oil Potato Salad, Deep Fried Vegetable Rolls, Sesame Balls w/ Red Bean (dessert).
Noodles with no meat listed: Regular Chili Oil Flat Noodle ($15, the signature dish without the beef rib), Tomato & Egg Noodle ($15), Peanut & Sesame Cold Noodle ($16, gluten-free), Soy Scallion Noodle ($15, tagged Veggie).
Sichuan Spicy Tofu Noodle Soup ($18). Ask whether the broth is vegetable-based; their other soups are beef or lamb.
You can add tofu ($6) or extra veggies ($3) to any noodle. Yelp still calls the veg range "limited", but it's a solid half-dozen.
Caveats: the Soy Scallion Noodle also carries a shellfish tag (likely oyster sauce), so ask. Online ordering for lunch stops at 2:15.
